You NEED a Vacation……try this.

If you are like me, you are stir crazy. By this point in 2020, I am sure you are ready for the New Year. As COVID looms, the world has turned on its side, we have killer hornets, dual hurricanes and hysteria reaching biblical proportions. And just when you would typically leave town and get away from it all, you can’t because we’re in the middle of a pandemic. Especially poignant if you are an American, since you are not allowed to go anywhere.* What to do? Don’t fret. You are not completely sidelined. We live in a gigantic country and I doubt you have seen all of it. My suggestion, harness your wrangler and try something truly special. Check out the Destinations page for more details.

The Anti-Travel Post: Coronavirus 2020

Atlanta is closed…..

So quite the opposite of a travel post, we are now faced with forced quarantines and mandatory closures on a global scare. This will be one of those times when you reminisce “do you remember where you were during the COVID-19 scare of 2020?” However in the face of this unprecedented challenge, I wonder if what will emerge is an opportunity to change the way we live.

As the white-collar world works remotely, will businesses scale down their centralized offices in favor of a more decentralized, remote work approach? Will online learning platforms just now being put to the test prevail in favor of flexible learning initiatives for students? Will this propel tech already in the works to market at a fast pace to support these new paradigms? It will be an interesting situation to watch and analyze as we all look back.

In the meantime, be safe, support your local businesses by whatever means possible, and be well.

Cheers to the Coronapocalypse!

The Most Perfect Summer

In this unprecedented Irish summer heat, I am reminded of the most perfect days of summer. Wearing shorts in the early morning and ending the day with conversation around a fire pit, these are the most perfect days to be remembered.
